Chase is now offering a new Freedom Card and is no longer offering the old Freedom Card and there is no bonus offered at this time. The terms have changed and make it more difficult to maximize your rewards. Now you get 3% cash back on gas, grocery, and fast food purchases for the first three months and after that there will be different 3% cash back categories every quarter. All your purchases that don’t qualify for 3% cash back will receive 1% cash back. One significant improvement they have made is the elimination of expiration dates on your cash back earned. While the terms of this Chase Freedom Card are not as good as they were before this is still a solid reward card if you carefully watch your purchases to make sure you receive the maximum cash back.
